We supply a range of different mobile wifi solutions including routers, antennas and mounting equipment – ideal for situations such as holiday homes like caravans, lodges, motorhomes where the only or best internet solution is mobile 4g/5g.

Best results are often achieved when used in conjunction with an external antenna as this minimises any signal loss through factors such as walls.

A fitting service is available in the local area. Please contact us for further information.

Steps when choosing your mobile data equipment –

Step 1 – Decide if you want 4g or 5g capability

5g is newer and faster than 4g however not available in all areas so please check your local coverage first. 4g currently has a wider coverage in more areas.

Step 2 – Choose a router

Choose a router that is 4g or 5g capable depending on the coverage your want. Also choose if you want a router that works on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz or just one that works on 2.4ghz. 5ghz is faster and less susceptible to interference from other devices.

Step 3 – Decide if you need an outdoor external antenna

Routers already have built in antennas which do a good job of picking up 4g/5g signals. However on many properties, especially caravans there can be a loss of signal through the walls into the property meaning your router is not picking up the strongest signal possible. An external antenna will help eliminate this. All our antennas are both 4g and 5g capable.

Step 4 – Decide on the type of antenna you want (if required)

Antennas are either omni directional or uni directional. Omni directional antennas are ideal in areas where there is a reasonably good signal outside and have the ability to pick up signals from all directions so can change to a different mast should a local one fail. Omni directional give a stronger gain and are useful where the signal is weaker such as rural areas. However, they need to be installed to point towards a local mast with a pretty line of sight and should that mast ever go down they would need to be adjusted to point to another mast.

Step 4 – Decide how to mount the the antenna (if applicable)

Many antennas have a range of options for mounting them from suction cups to screws, however a common option is to use a J pole. Please choose a J pole if required.
